'Back to the Land’ offers a collection of recipes contributed by friends of Madre including Devendra Banhart, Chaz Bear (Toro y Moi), Kassia Meador, Elena Reygadas, Indy Officinalis, and one of Madre's own mezcaleros, Carlos Blas. 

Each recipe has been formulated using Madre Espadin, which complements the other ingredients with its natural clean flavor. 

This book was created to raise funds and awareness for Madre’s continued support of agave sustainability projects in Oaxaca.
