Madre Earth Candle

The morning sun is held back by the rain clouds that wrap around the hills. Smoke rises from the ground as agaves slowly cook beneath the earth and copal resin burns on a pile of glowing coals. Breathe in deeply. Taste the earth. Linger in the fragrance that dances in that moment.

Madre’s Earth Candle captures the scent that moves through the dusty hills of Oaxaca, carrying hints of earth, smoke, and the black copal that is often burned while roasting agaves for mezcal.

The vessels for these candles are handmade by Adrian Martinez Alarzon, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Using the native clays from the earth, Adrian crafts each vessel with intention. Please reuse the vessel after burning. Candle scent formulated by Joya Studio of New York.

Approximate Burn Time: 40 hours

Handmade clay container crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Ingredients: soy wax blend, fine fragrance, essential oil, cotton wick.

Notes: Earth, Copal, Tobacco, Leather, Roasted Agave, Cedar.
